Assam Bihu is a set of festivals celebrated in the Indian state of Assam. The three Bihu festivals are Rongali or Bohag Bihu, which is celebrated in April; Kongali or Kati Bihu, which is celebrated in October; and Bhogali or Magh Bihu, which is celebrated in January. These festivals are celebrated to mark the different agricultural cycles in the region and involve a variety of rituals, including dancing, singing, and feasting. The Rongali Bihu is the most important and widely celebrated of the three, and is often referred to simply as Bihu.
