The Brahmaputra River

The Brahmaputra River is a major trans-boundary river in Asia, flowing through China, India, and Bangladesh. It originates in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, and flows through the northeastern states of India, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and West Bengal, before entering Bangladesh and emptying into the Bay of Bengal. The river is known for its large volume of water and the high silt content of its sediment, which can lead to severe flooding in the region. The Brahmaputra is also an important source of water, irrigation, and hydroelectric power for the region.
